Description: 
   The Bachelor of Economics is normally taken over three years of full-time study and offers majors in topical disciplines such as economics, industrial relations and Asian business. The programme is highly flexible allowing students to combine their choice of majors, minors and electives. Graduates from this programme have a strong record of success in finding employment both locally and internationally.
Admission requirements: 
   Standard UWA requirements for entry to a bachelor's degree course. See 'Undergraduate Admission' and 'University General Rules' in the Student Procedures, Rules and Policies section of this handbook. The minimum requirement for Western Australian school leavers is a scaled combined score of 50 per cent or greater in at least one of Applicable Mathematics or Calculus or Discrete Mathematics or equivalent at Year 12 level. Students with a pass in Discrete Mathematics only are required to enrol in the unit ECON1111 Quantitative Methods for Business and Economics in their first semester.

   144 to 150 points comprising 24 to 25 six-point units. Students normally take eight units each year, four in each semester.
