Description: 
   This programme is concerned with biological knowledge that relates to the conservation of flora and fauna. As humans change the environment, the need to understand the impact on plants and animals, as well as how to mitigate these changes, increases. Graduates are trained in problem solving, information analysis, report writing and decision making. Students who achieve an average of at least 65 per cent in units for their major are eligible to undertake the honours programme.
Admission requirements: 
   Standard UWA requirements for entry to a bachelor's degree course. See 'Undergraduate Admission' and 'University General Rules' in the Student Procedures, Rules and Policies section of this handbook. In addition to the English requirement, all students are required to have a scaled score of at least 50 per cent in a TEE mathematics subject, or equivalent.
