Course type:
   Undergraduate bachelor's degree
Status:
   Current
Intake periods:
   Beginning of year only
Description:
The physical sciences are chemistry, geology and physics. Together with mathematics they address fundamental questions about the complex physical universe—from molecules to continental plates to black holes—and in doing so they drive the development of new technologies. The programme starts with at least three of these disciplines, pursues at least two to Level 2 and leads to one or two majors.
Admission requirements:
Standard UWA requirements for entry to a bachelor's degree course. See 'Undergraduate Admission' and 'University General Rules' in the Student Procedures, Rules and Policies section of this handbook. Prerequisites: scaled scores of 50 per cent or more in TEE Chemistry, Physics and Applicable Mathematics. TEE Calculus is also essential for students undertaking majors in Physics or Chemical Physics and is strongly recommended for majors in Mathematics.
