| Description: |
| | This course provides advanced training in the field of infectious diseases, with programmes in Medical Microbiology, Tropical Infectious Diseases and Public and Environmental Health Microbiology. Units have a practical emphasis enhanced by classes in the adjacent PathWest laboratories. The course is aimed at science-based and medical professionals intending to work in hospital diagnostic or research laboratories, medical clinics, government health departments and international agencies. |
| Admission requirements: |
| | Bachelor of Science in Biomedical, Biological or related areas of science or an equivalent degree; Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) or equivalent qualification; Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) or equivalent qualification. Applicants with applied biomedical science degrees (e.g. Medical Technology, Nursing, etc.) are also considered for entry to the course. |
